Kaspar Frauenschuh’s heritage is that of family-run businesses that focused on maintaining the highest, and most ecological standards in material and processing. His parents, Hans and Anna, had a leather manufacturing firm whose made to measure garments reflected their distinct, and authentic styles. Kaspar’s love and devotion to special materials has its roots in them.

Lambskin and buckskin are natural materials that have been turned into garments in Austria for generations. Frauenschuh sources only the highest quality fabrics, ensuring that we only utilize leather from free-range, sustainable, and local farms. Craftsmanship takes time, so we no longer subscribe to the seasonal collection model prescribed by fast-fashion, which is highly wasteful, and produces low-quality clothing. We have pledged to work, instead, only with small, family-run businesses and manufacturers to deliver high-quality, ecological, and carefully crafted products in small drops. This is the only way to create lifelong-lasting jackets, coats and trousers, which promise to become more beautiful with every passing year. Our garments don‘t age, they mature.
